Mitticraft makes a wide range of clay items in the form of Indian traditional pottery, tableware, kitchenware, Indian festival accessories, pooja items, decor, planters, diffusers, diyas and more.

The raw material, clay, is procured from Wankaner district of Gujarat, located near Rajkot, which is a pottery hub well known for clay items and handicrafts.

The products are handmade in Dharavi, Asia's largest slum area located in Mumbai. It is an all-women initiative created to empower rural and urban marginal women artisans while promoting Indian regional handicrafts.

Our Purpose

POTTERY WITH A PURPOSE

What started in 2010 as a proprietorship firm named Shakti Creations by Heena Tank, with six women workers making handicrafts and eco-friendly products as a means of sustenance and empowerment, has now grown into an all-women partnership firm.

Today, the initiative works with 30 women artisans and exports handcrafted products across the United States and the United Kingdom.
